The phone rang one time and hung up before the answering machine picked up.

I got my first call today! They have now called me 17 times today.... The last call was at 5:50 p.m. It's amazing how many times they call within a matter of a few hours. The company calling says it is National Credit Systems - (855-217-8308) I spoke to another person who said if I don't want to take the offer, they will get a collection notice.

Same as everyone else - an automated recorded call saying that there is a federal prosecution in my name. What do they believe they could get from this? I've gotten several of these calls in the past few weeks.

It's a scam. You WILL get served. And the "case number" doesn't even belong to the county the alleged debt was in. They just leave that on your voice mail.

These calls have started up again. The first one I got was from "Sherry" at the last for of the line. When I pressed the number to speak to a live operator, she was in an overseas call center and would not have a person call me back until after 7pm today. When I pressed for her to take me off her list she said she would and hung up on me. Then today "Eric" called again. I pressed the option to speak with a manager, so here it is after reading your comments. A male answered and said the same thing. How do they get our phone numbers?
